Books for children and young adults

In our November new releases, girls will surely find something they like, such as the diaries of an ordinary girl aged 10 to 14 by L. Myracle. Experienced readers will certainly compare them to the popular Dork Diaries. Boys might venture into the mysterious corners of Prague with the heroes of V. Matocha’s novel, who live in a technically different world than the Foglar’s Rapid Arrows.

The fantastic world of R. Dahl, with its witty illustrations, invites younger readers to explore twelve magical stories.

And we haven’t forgotten about beginning readers, whether they want to make friends with a little ghost, follow some frogs, or meet a lazy grandma.

In the library, you can browse the November issue of the youth magazine CVAK! and the Best Books for Children catalog, which features a selection of Czech books for children and young adults compiled annually by a team of experts. It might be a helpful guide when choosing the right book as a Christmas gift.
